Eligibility Criteria:

• Doctorate or Master’s Degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a clinical setting
• Current and valid state license to practice psychology
• Required IELTS score of at least 5.5 score overall, with a minimum of 5.0 in all bands as mandated by MAHC (Maldives Allied Health Council)

Desirable Qualifications/Skill Sets:

• Proven experience in Psychology, with a strong background in therapeutic and assessment techniques, including proficiency in conducting therapies and comprehensive psychological assessments.
• Exceptional report writing skill, with the ability to produce detailed, accurate, and professional reports
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Demonstrated compassion and strong understanding of ethical consideration in clinical practice.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and professional standards.

Job Description:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluation to diagnose and treat mental health issues.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide psychotherapy using various modalities such as CBT, DBT, Psychoanalysis, or other appropriate therapies.
• Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
• Train interns and supervise junior psychologists within the clinic.
• Occasionally travel to different islands for workshops and client sessions

Maximum Age Limit: 55 Years

Starting Salary: USD 1,000 (MVR 15,420) for the initial 6 months. After this period, based on performance, the salary will range between USD 1,100 – 1,200 (MVR 16,962 – MVR 18,504). 

Food allowances are included in the salary.

Accommodation Allowance: USD 453.95 (MVR 7,000)

Total Remuneration Package: 

Approximately USD 1,453.95 1,653.95, equivalent to MVR 22,420 – MVR 25,504, depending on performance.

Working Hours: Saturday – Thursday (9am – 5pm), 1 hour break

Annual Leave: 30 days of paid annual leave each year, applicable after the completion of one year of service. Other applicable leaves as per Leave Policy of the company.

Duration of the post: Two (2) years (initial appointment is for a period of six (6) months extendable based on performance).
