JOB DESCRIPTION
Shall be responsible for all inclusive but not limited to:
1. Advise on safety related issues at site
2. To advise contractor staff on the ways to fulfill the safety requirement for Turnaround
3. Monitor the site activity
4. Communicate to workers information on workplace hazards
5. Promote safe work practices
6. Ensure close – out of inspection/ audit recommendations
7. Report and investigate all incidents 8. Be familiar with QatarEnergy HSE policies, procedure and guidelines
Fire Watch
Shall be responsible for all inclusive but not limited to:
1. Ensure that, all precautions as specified by the PTW are taken
2. Ensure that, a valid Hot Work Permit is available at site
3. Coordinate with Site Supervisors and Worksite supervisors to make sure that the JHA for the job is available and displayed at site
4. Ensure that, proper safety signs are posted at all Hot work locations
5. Ensure that, the Hot work area is properly covered so that other jobs in the vicinity are not disturbed
6. Ensure that, enough charged fire hoses and Fire extinguishers are available and ready at site
Safety watch /Manhole watch
1. Maintain strict watch at all Entry/Exit Manholes of all Equipment where confined space entry is required
2. Ensure that, a register for Entry/Exit records is maintained at all times
3. Coordinate with Site Supervisors and Worksite supervisors to make sure that the JHA for the job is available and displayed at site
4. Ensure that, proper safety signs are posted at all Entry and Exit points
5. Ensure that, emergency escape method is identified, known to all personnel involved and is readily available at site
6. Ensure that, BA sets are available as required
7. Ensure quality of breathing air inside the confined space from time to time, as specified by the PTW through coordination with Site Supervisor and Worksite supervisor
8. Ensure that a valid Confined Space Entry Permit is available at all times of confined space entry
Rigging Foreman
Shall be responsible for all inclusive but not limited to:
1. Ensure that, all Tools, Lifting Tackles and equipment used at site are inspected and are having valid Calibration/Test Certificates prior to use
2. Ensure that, the above Calibration/Test Certificates are available at Site for inspection by Competent Authorities at any point of time
3. Ensure that, during any Crane Marching or heavy mobile equipment movement, the same is accompanied by a rigger in the front and a rigger at the rear of the equipment to avoid any accidents
4. Ensure Safe Rigging practices in tune with National/International best practices in Rigging
